May 2023 – update

Well we’re into June with six tournaments played. There’s a lot of satisfaction to take from making all the cuts* in the four Tartan Pro Tour events with plenty of under par rounds. Eliminating the mistakes that lead to double bogeys is key going forward to earn high placings on the leader board.

The two early tournaments on the satellite 2020 Pro Tour and Big Johnston Tour really helped develop sharpness in shorter events, one and two day respectively.

A strong start at Barassie was great for confidence and a top ten finish gave a good foundation to build on in terms of order of merit position. It’s particularly valuable this year as a Challenge Tour Card is up for grabs.

Four three-day tournaments in May were also great for sharpening Rory’s game with plenty of birdies and eagles on the card. For more details head over to the Tournament page on the website.

A short break at the beginning of June now including spending some time with sponsor Aimee Smith Studios will be enjoyed before heading to Pollock on the 14 June for the next Tartan Pro Tour Event.

*The Montrose event was reduced to two rounds due to fog. As Rory finished in top 30, we’re counting it as a cut made.
